It’s been 110+ for what feels like the last five years. Went out to tinker on the bike this morning and could tell something wasn’t right. We’re normally at 100 by 9 or 10. Checked the weather and was treated to this gem of a forecast. Better bust out my hoodie.

Yeah, we were treated to surprise heavy rains into the early morning. As soon as it dried up, I was out on the bike.

It’s going to be cooler there than in Austin.

Damn it, beat me to it.
This period from early September through the end of October is the best - pleasant but seldom too warm, getting cool at night again, not too wet yet. Time to enjoy.

I’m hoping someone isn’t playing a joke on me. I had to double check I wasn’t looking at the report from my camping spot last weekend which was at 7,500 ft.

We had a nice little sprinkle Friday evening. That was nice.

Yeah some models have a high pressure building strong by the holiday weekend - might be in the 80s again in the sound area, which is still fine - the end of summer is in sight, won’t be many more weekends as warm. In 2 months these will be nice weather memories.

I’m enjoying the weather by staying outside and imagining Trump as a hostage negotiator.
There were no survivors.

That looks about right for December.
